Thank you for choosing to work with a UM System-affiliated youth program. Before your work begins, the university needs to have a few records on file. One of these is your background check through our background screening partner, Sterling Volunteers.

To begin, register with Sterling Volunteers using the form on the right. Once you are registered, you can order your background check in four easy steps. The process takes about five minutes to complete.

The UM System will receive the results of your check in a few days. Once it's reviewed and on file, you'll be well on your way to your valuable youth program work. We look forward to having you on the team!
